Issue with time alignment #763

Open Th225sa opened 3 months ago

Indicate the version of BORIS 8.27.1

Describe the bug Sometimes when coding a video it seems to skip 36 frames at the start of each video. Initially I thought this was an issue with the conversion of the videos from MTS to MP4 but the issue seems to be something else. This also causes a misalignment in the time sequencing. In my first video clips, time stamps end in 0 or 9 which is great, but starting the second video (36 frames missing from start), the time stamps then end in 5 or 6 which contributes to significant issues when comparing the data for analysis. I have attached screenshots below.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as both myself and my colleague are having this problem despite having tried various video conversion options.

All the best, Tom

Expected behavior Seamless transition between video files with all time stamps ending in 0 or 9

Hi, thank you for reporting this. Is it possible to access the video?

Th225sa commented 3 months ago

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. What would be the best way to do this? Each video file is 401MB

olivierfriard commented 3 months ago

You can use weTransfer or analog services

Hi Oliver,

I have sent these files over to boris@noreply.github.com and notifications@github.com. Is there a better email to send them to?

All the best, Tom
