[BUG] - View: Characters - Filter Field without any function #977

When I enter something in the red marked field, nothing happen. No highlighting or which I would prefer filtering.

Whoa, good spot there. Just tested and yes, it doesn't do anything. I use the right sidebar's notesheet to search characters for now, but that filter thing is something that needs to be fixed. @TheJackiMonster This needs to be checked.

I think this filter field is without any functionality for a long time actually. But I agree this shouldn't exist like this and filtering characters with the model based views in Qt should be trivial. ^^'

When it's trivial, I have also a Feature request for the Filter Field:

Filtering by the selected colour of a character! I use the colour to make visual clear, which persons, are together. Same family or grouping.

I'm as impertinent as ever;)!

@obw I do something similar in my story. So I like that idea but this would definitely require some more options in the filter because I usually don't assign the exact same color to multiple characters but similar tones. I assume this could be done with a similarity option as it's implemented in chroma keys for capturing- and video-editing-software. ^^

I use cut and paste for the RGB value;)
