I wanted to pass along a thought on features out of this project. I was a heavy user of GitSavvy when I used ST and frankly I loved it way more than any the newer GUI based git clients. It was sort of an easy-to-use VIM of git clients. Not sure what direction you are going to take, or if this is useful, but just putting it out there.
In particular, I loved how it was simple -- and every action had a single-key accelerator that was clearly visible at all times. Status, push, pull, branch checkout, staging all/single files, diffing, opening specific diffs -- all could be done with a single key without your hands every leaving the keyboard.

My two cents!
