Console error: Cannot assign to read only property 'capitalize' of object '[object String] #1843

When i try to use metro JS for the first time using a demo from the introduction page, i get these two errors in my console: Cannot assign to read only property 'capitalize' of object '[object String] and: this.utils.newCssSheet is not a function

What could be causing these errors?
