Can't wait to get the new version!

tobiodeyemi commented 11 years ago

Could you add support for IE7-9 with IE7/8/9.js or HTML5shiv? And possibly add something like the flipping tiles here in 1.1?

olton commented 11 years ago

in the styles used pseudo-classes, so support for browsers that do not know how to work with pseudo-classes will not.

artdude543 commented 11 years ago

Is the new CSS on the develop branch or its not on github yet?

olton commented 11 years ago

Styles will be rewrite by 90%

artdude543 commented 11 years ago

Ahh okies I'll wait :) Also quick question I am designing a site using the current version will I be able to upgrade to the new one without any issues or will I need to re-build my site around the new css?

olton commented 11 years ago

Need very small changes. Example color classes. Old name bg-color-, new bg-

artdude543 commented 11 years ago

Okay thats fine :) Can't wait for the new one looks awesome so far!

Kation commented 11 years ago

I think button in Toolbar groups should have 0 margin. And is there have a dropdown button in toolbar?

JohnArcher commented 11 years ago

You really know how to tease us, @olton ! :-) Really looking forward to it!

spoolersub commented 11 years ago

Excited for the new version!

I would like to see a tile scaling feature. On lower resolution monitors (such as 1024x768 or 1366x768) the tiles are too big, requiring the user to scroll too much to find what they need.

tobiodeyemi commented 11 years ago

I think there should be a drop shadow under the window (here)[http://modernui.org.ua/]

agray commented 11 years ago

How far away are we from the new version?

olton commented 11 years ago

i'am working, working,.... week or one and a half, a lot of the main current job

agray commented 11 years ago

Thanks olton.

Understand your current time constraints. No rush. Just interested in progress.

Cheers,

Andrew

spoolersub commented 11 years ago

Great Olton!

agray commented 11 years ago

Just communicating that at 8:30pm on Thursday night in Melbourne http://metroui.org.ua/ is reporting as being down. Is it just me that has an issue or are others experiencing this too?

zero13ro commented 11 years ago

You can't, they are in the source code, you only can use them according to the CSS code and instructions.

winden commented 11 years ago

cheers mate,

there are currently two sites http://modernui.org.ua/icons.html (new one)

http://metroui.org.ua/icons.php (current one). I can use theses icons using sources from https://github.com/olton/Metro-UI-CSS

I meant to ask where can I download fonts and updated css to use extended set of icons (from new one)? For instance, I'd like to use icon ' icon-dollar-2'

zero13ro commented 11 years ago

I don't know if they will be integrated in the final CSS code or Olton will provide separate links for the new icons. We will wait and see. Cheers

winden commented 11 years ago

that's exactly what was my question about :)

Olton, icons are independent to other elements of design. Is it possible to start using them without waiting for the release? Just asking...

thank you

agray commented 11 years ago

I have the same question as winden and zero13ro.

The recent discussion seems to indicate that I can use the new features from the latest version of source code (even though it has not been released and the version number yet to be incremented.)

If that is the case, where is metro-tab-control.js as per http://modernui.org.ua/tab-control.html?

Maybe I am not understanding something.

Thank you.

zero13ro commented 11 years ago

I didn't had any question, I will let Olton to finish the project.

zero13ro commented 11 years ago

@ tobiodeyemi, CSS3 is not supported by older versions of IE. Only IE 9+ is OK. There nothing Olton can do here.

olton commented 11 years ago

to all: you can use all latest features :)

agray commented 11 years ago

Thank you Olton, Where can I find metro-tab-control.js in the source tree? I'm not seeing it. I have looked in both the master and develop branches.

olton commented 11 years ago

new version currently in private repository. you can see code of tab-control http://modernui.org.ua/js/metro/metro-tab-control.js

agray commented 11 years ago

Great! Thanks olton. Do I need the latest and greatest version of modern.css and/or modern-responsive.css from this repository or will the nuget release version still work?

Regards,

Andrew

olton commented 11 years ago

began the process of refactoring tiles http://modernui.org.ua/tiles.html

olton commented 11 years ago

added live tiles http://modernui.org.ua/tiles.html

clavecoder commented 11 years ago

Will you be supporting the new Windows 8.1 double height tiles?

olton commented 11 years ago

Metro UI CSS is supported any tiles sizes: half, default, double, triple, quadro. You can set sizing of tile with build-in tile subclasses: half, double, triple and quadro. To change vertical size use next sub classes: double-vertical, triple-vertical and quadro-vertical.

clavecoder commented 11 years ago

You're the bomb Olton!
