Not sure if this will be worth implementing but it might be nice to pull down the Introduced: off the devcentral page for each iRule component and then do a sanity check when you add one or just in the syntax highlighting portion that compares that to the TMOS version you are working against and lets you know when you're using one that isn't appropriate for this version.
