Puzzle not openable after after Android crash #8

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Keep solving crosswords until your phone crashes (or force a crash using one 
of the debug tools)
2. Reboot phone, open Shortyz
3. Try to open the crossword you were solving when the phone crashed

What is the expected output? What do you see instead
The crossword should open. Instead a message bubble pops up with <filename>.puz 
and then disappears after a few seconds, where <filename> is the filename of 
that puzzle.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Shortyz 2.3.11 (problem was also present in 2.3.10) on CyanogenMod 6.0 on HTC 
Hero CDMA.

Please provide any additional information below.
I suspect the .puz or .shortyz files are being corrupted during the crash. I 
have attached a pair of such files.

I see the same thing even if the program is interrupted, e.g. phone call comes 
in while puzzle open.  Going back into Shortyz and that puzzle is no longer 
playable.
