Bio-Formats is a Java library for reading and writing data in life sciences image file formats. It is developed by the Open Microscopy Environment. Bio-Formats is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL); commercial licenses are available from Glencoe Software.
Currently a Laser element is created with an ID in the OME-XML, however additional metadata values which are parsed are simply included in the global metadata.
The reader is already parsing values for ID, data ID, power, transmissivity and wavelength. These values could be populated on the laser element.
