See https://forum.image.sc/t/bad-reading-of-lif-metadata/73038 . There is already a similar issue https://github.com/ome/bioformats/issues/3513 . Wasn't sure if it should there or a new issue. Just delete if necessary.

Hi, we are facing similar issues with channel naming when importing leica .lif files into into OMERO. Any advise on how to fix these issue? Thanks!

Apologies for the late reply @Eddymorphling as I missed your comment while I was away. Im afraid we don't have a fix for this particular issue at the moment.
