Youtube videos to OME channel

A user on the image.sc forum messaged me to ask if I could move all the useful OMERO.figure videos from my personal YouTube channel onto the OME Channel (so that user's don't have to wade through my personal videos!).

E.g. some of the videos on the main page: https://www.openmicroscopy.org/omero/figure/ are hosted on my YouTube channel.

Actually, the "Getting Started" video on the main page is very old (pre open-with)! Need a new one. Seems a few videos are out of date and so let's plan a few new ones:

• Need a "Flash talk" OMERO.figure video for OME 2021 meeting.
• Main home-page video to go at the top of the page:
  • Show Images metadata in webclient
  • Open-with -> OMERO.figure. Add extra images.
  • Drag, resize, grid, copy & paste
  • Rendering settings Z/T sliders
  • Zoom, pan, crop
  • Labels: manual, channels
  • Scalebars
  • ROI - draw Arrow etc.
  • Save, open Saved figures
  • Export
• Getting Started ??
  • Open-with, Adding more images, Save, Export
• Page layout, dpi
• Insets - Crop, rotate - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5a0_HqmvAQ plus crop to ROI/rectangle
• Scalebars and Labels from metadata
  • Labels from Tags, KVPs, Timestamps, Channels etc.
  • Scalebars - edit pixel size, Units
• ROIs:
  • Only edit 1 panel at a time
  • Stroke-width, color
  • Copy-pasting within a panel, between panels
  • loading from OMERO
  • Changing Z/T index
  • Add All

You might consider using https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jv9f55Mbmhg&t=4s (simple figure recording from a workshop) and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFEjumh7D2o&t=14s or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kW9O1M1obKc&t=70s (much shorter, no voiceover) to fullfill the needs of your video recording plan.

Two thoughts:

• We can certainly create a playlist with all the videos from your youtube. That would make all the content more findable.
• Moving forward, especially for recording statistics etc., it would be nice to have them re-uploaded in the main account, but that's not supported by youtube (or wasn't the last time I researched this).

I looked into something similar recently and I am pretty sure it is not possible to transfer video ownership (and keep the URL etc). Re-uploading the same content as a new video owned by the official OME account is definitely doable and this (+ creating a figure playlist) is also my preference looking forward.
