7 years ago There are many ways to implement Aegir based SaaS offerings, and since it something beyond the scope of BOA project, we don't include related modules by default, to avoid confusion. We could still consider this in the future, if we will figure out some standardized and easier to use method to properly introduce SaaS support.
In order to create a SAAS system which allows automatic creation of drupal websites using BOA/aegir, it would be great to have the Drupal Services module (which includes SAAS services) work with the BOA installation. In that way easier management of site creation by clients would be possible without allowing clients access to the BOA admin interface.
