Sometime users add some thousands files in the directory and the item form becomes unusable.

I am interested in merging this feature, with one reservation. If the Sideload ingester's signature must change, I prefer that new arguments are added at the end. This way it preserves backwards compatibility. Sure, only the factory instantiates this ingester, but who knows what's happening in userland.
