couldnot run curl config #3

honeything

This is the error while trying to install honeything, after installing the curl and PycURL packages. Please help me to solve this issue. Thanks and Regards, Prahlada.

@prahlad574 sudo apt-get install libcurl4-openssl-dev this might fix this issue

@mzfr Thank you very much it solved the issue. After deploying this Honeypot how to test this Honeypot and see the data related to attack

@prahlad574 you can just go through the README.md file to see how you'll have to start it or might have to go through the codebase to see where things are stored. I don't know why you want to setup a honeypot but I would say that by looking at commit history this this honeypot is not under development anymore ( not sure) so if you want to try honeypots for some work than consider using other honeypot (maybe from honeynet project) but if you want to help in developing this than go ahead

I have error on port 8080 what should i change? what is it for ? IP:8080 in config file?

@jjjan can you show what error are you getting ? Maybe you can post the error or maybe a screenshot ?

ok @prahlad574 could you check deploy script on mhn i have lot's of issue at installation?

@mzfr what's is the best ubuntu distribution to install honeythings?

@jjjan Please give some details on your issue during installation. As I said earlier maybe a screenshot or maybe some traceback.

I use KDE and it worked fine on it. I am really not sure about any ubuntu distribution.

If I may ask, Why are you trying to install honeything ? Are you trying to contribute to it ?

no this is solve with some package update.

now could you add hpfeeds protocol support?

@jjjan This project in not currently under development so adding/removing anything is not possible for now.

If you could tell me you're need then I can suggest you some other Honeypot.

ok i need just add hpfeeds protocol to send data to hpfeeds broker.

does it capture any iot malware or not?

Try snare/tanner for simple honeypot plus it have hpfeed protocols

@zainalawaludin no as such project not beneficial for security I delete it.
