MP flags manage settings for new objects created by M tag:

Flag	Name	Description
0x1		Something to do with rendering modes
0x2
0x4		Affects HAR 1, something to do with timers ?
0x8		Something something timers ?
0x10		Affects HAR 2, something to do with timers ?
0x20		Sets some special handling to X movement calculation ? Somehow related to V tag. Possibly flips movement direction ?
0x40		Some sort of timer manipulation ?
0x80		Some sort of timer manipulation ?

Notes:

If mp is not set in tags, then the default is 0x2 | 0x8
Decimal 100 seems to be some sort of special value (0x40 | 0x20 | 0x4) -- it seems to set this mp flag for all ongoing animations, with the EXCEPTION of 0x1 flag which is NOT carried over.
Decimal 101 is another special value (0x40 | 0x20 | 0x4 | 0x1). It seems to ALSO set the mp as above, but also offset remapping index by 36 (?)
