Fire and Water Drip particle presets not working #65

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago

Starting with an empty scene and loading the Smoke Stack particle preset allows
me to immediately preview the effect, however this does not work with the
"fire" and "water drip" presets.

Please have a look as we should have a stable editor with defaults working.

I don't believe this is an issue. The effects can be difficult to see if you
test them against a white background.

Scott, please try this:
Go to shapes and create a rectangle that is grey or black and positioned at 0,
-1, 0. Give it dimensions: height 1, width 10, depth 10.

With this as a background, test the particle templates. Note that they are
located at the origin and may be smaller than you expect. Please let me know if
they still are not showing up.

Oops - I should have deleted this issue. I did not know that the particles
were rendering in additive mode, so could not be seen against the white
background. Erik is correct that the particles are working fine and this is
not an issue.
