Scott Adams Inform adventures don't restore properly #76

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start a Scott Adams Inform game, e.g. SAVAGE1.Z5
2. "save game"
3. Quit and restart
4. R)estore the game from the menu

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
After the restore, the parser doesn't understand anything you type.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

I have noticed something similar when I "RESTORE" saved games in a couple
different Z-
machine AIF I had transferred to the iPod Touch using Frotz's ftp server.
After
restoring, I see what appears to be debug output interspersed with the normal
output.
The parser DOES understand what I type, but the voluminous debug output may
tend to
obscure this. I am using the latest version from the iStore (I think 1.3), and
so far,
I have never gotten the RESTORE command to work properly.
