Add a "rename" option for game titles, and perhaps a way to manually add game art? #81

As a compulsive iPhone library neatnik, I would really love the ability to
rename games in the list -- for example, my Apple-sourced DAT of
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy shows up as "HHGG," and the Crowther and
Woods Adventure port uses its original six-character "ADVENT" title. The
ability to rename these titles in the list would be most welcome.

In a similar vein, I would love to be able to add thumbnail icons to the
games that lack these, to keep the game list view visually uniform and
attractive.

Thank you for the Frotz port, regardless. It's excellent as it is, and
these are extremely minor annoyances at best, but I figured I'd ask, just
the same.

Good suggestions. I'll see what I can do.
In the mean time, you could use FTP to transfer the titles off of your phone
(if you don't already have a copy),
rename them on a computer, then put them back. You can use filenames with
embedded spaces to get nice
names. The game already knows alternate long names for many common Infocom
abbreviated filenames; if
you rename hhgg to hhgttg.z5, it'll automatically show up with its long name.
I'm afraid there's no workaround to get your own art in there at the moment,
though, excepting submitting it
to IFDB and then re-downloading using the portal.

Ad of 1.4, you can now set full titles for stories as you upload them using the
web interface.
You can rename by deleting the original and resubmitting with a new full title.

I did not yet add an option to rename in the app itself; I want to do this by
adding an Info screen for every game
that shows the title, author, genre, artwork, etc. and lets you edit whatever
makes sense.
I'll leave this issue open until then.

This feature is now in version 1.5.
Go to (i) Preferences and turn on "Edit Story Info".

Then select the story (use disclosure button on iPhone), click edit, and you
can type to edit the Title, Authors, TUID number, and can cut and paste the
artwork.
