receive IF files via email #84

Perhaps a simple app on a PC could convert an IF file into text using base64 or 
some such, and then 
email it to an iphone. The new copy and paste feature in 3.0 could then be used 
to get the file into 
Frotz.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I think the built-in FTP server sufficiently 
addresses the issue of how to get 
games into Frotz.  That plus the ability to download them via the ifdb browser.

A many-step process of downloading and installing a custom app on your PC, 
converting each file, mailing it 
to yourself, reading the mail in your phone and copying each message, then 
launching Frotz to invoke a 
special file transfer option and then paste... Sorry, but I think this is just 
too convoluted and would be hard to 
explain to users, not to mention the work of maintaining the 'simple app' for 
PC, Mac, and Linux.    FTP is a 
much better solution.
