What is the goal ? The 'modestr' value is already known in the Nextion, since it is reflected by the page that is selected at that moment. If it has to be a variable (like t35) you can write the code 't35.txt=...' in the preinitialisation event of the page in question

My Mistake. That solution works fine. I just miss the entry in the log file. no big deal
