Investigate 504 error from images being served from Ona #2159

Environmental Information

Problem description

Images being pulled from Ona's grp/resilience platform timeout inconsistently.

Expected behavior

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Go to https://resilienceplatform.info/
  2. You will notice one image on the image slider taking time to load and finally resulting to a 504 error as shared below

Logs, related issues, weird / out of place occurrences, local settings, possible approach to solving this...

@akahure After some research into this issue. We have established some images take time to load and this happens intermittently. However, when serving images from images.ona.io instead of images.ona.resilienceplatform.info the timeout does not occur, even so the long wait still persists (this can be observed and confirmed from stage.resilienceplatform.info). I think the long wait time may be related to thumbor but this needs more investigation to ascertain.
