I got back the info at the title by running the example script, the INFO is quite vague. One guess is that the TOKEN is blank. But I would like to know if this is the problem here.
python MafAnnotator.py -i "$IMAF" -o "$OMAF" -c "$IC" -b "$TOKEN" INFO:MafAnnotator:For help: python MafAnnotator.py -h
