Saving screeshot does not work #97

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select "Capture Visible Content" (or any other item)
2. Click on Save button

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect the image to be saved and the Screen Capture toolbar to
disappear.
Nothing happens instead.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mac OS X 10.6.6 (in french) on a MacBook Pro Intel Core i5
Google Chrome 9.0.597.107

Please provide any additional information below.
The settings pane for extension "Screen Capture" works only partially: I can
enable options "Auto-save" and option "Enable keyboard shortcuts", but the
first two options (lossy or lossless screenshot and "Default save location")
are ignored. If I select "lossless screenshot", click on "Save & Close" and
re-open the settings pane, the lossless screenshot is not selected anymore.
Similarly, the Default save location does not work: the field is empty, and
there is no way to fill it with a path. Clicking on buttons "Browse..." or "Go
to folder" does not do anything.

I found a last a way to make it work.
The problem is linked to a conflit with another screenshot Chrome extension.
I had four such extensions installed: Aviary Screen Capture, Capture de Page
Web - Webpage Screenshot, Superbe capture d'écran : capturer et annoter and
Screen Capture (by Google) - Version : 3.0.7.
After removing the other extensions, all problems mentionned in my issue
disappear.

Thanks for the report. It's because Screen Capture (by Google) conflicts with
Superbe capture d'écran : capturer et annoter on Mac. We've contacted with the
author of Superbe capture d'écran : capturer et annoter and will cooperate
with him to fix this problem.
