BIC v2, when it detect Internet Explorer, deploys the same styles used as when it detects Android.
It would be terrific if we could give the default styles a Modern-style Windows update: solid background colours, sharp icons, typography, etc.
Some reading up on Microsoft's own descriptions of what "Modern-style" is, and their style guides for Windows 8 are a must.
There maybe some JavaScript modification to get the animations correct, but this is mostly CSS and graphic design.
As Internet Explorer 8 is detected as an advanced-mode device, your work should be tested there to ensure that it is still functional and hopefully attractive (even if your styles are focused on IE10).
