git-gui does not work - missing Git Gui.app #13

git-gui installed in /usr/local/git/bin/git-gui references Git Gui.app which is 
not installed in the 
1.5.5.3 package.

I have attempted to run/usr/local/git/shared/git-gui/lib/git-gui.tcl  but it 
spits out the error in a 
dialog:
couldn't open "/usr/local/git/share/git-gui/share/git-gui/lib/tclIndex

I created a symlink to point /usr/local/git/share/git-gui/share/git-gui/lib => 
/usr/local/git/share/git-gui/lib and it works for me...

I had this very same problem, when I installed
http://git-osx-installer.googlecode.com/files/git-1.5.5.4-osx-leopard-intel.dmg 
,
git-gui was back working again.

Yeah, I unchecked the "Allow relocation" on the package installer for 1.5.5.4, 
but for some reason it didn't take.
