Hi,

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Commit using a VCS which tracks your email address (git, darcs, etc).
2. Change your email address. (This sometimes something you can't avoid.)
3. Commit using your new address.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Currently CIA says my first commit is from <when I changed my address>,
rather than my really first tracked commit.

It would be nice if CIA would allow to just add the new (or the old)
address as an alias to the other one.

Something like that exists @ ohloh.net

Useful request (basically, being able to merge multiple "physical" authors into 
a 
logical one). Will look into it when I have the time.
