fix for Tab width inconsistency 'tab width fits to tab width' option is disabled #329

I managed to fix issue #215. The fix will be included in version 1.24.0

If you read this post before version 1.24.0 you can test it know.

Download this test build

Rename it to .xpi and install it.

Report back.

I might still be having this issue on Tab Mix Plus (v1.24.1.1108)(2024-10-21)_fx(v115+).xpi

[Tab width fits to tab title] stopped working on a reload of Firefox today after I wiped some cookies for Xfinity and Comcast..

I tried disabling that option and re-enabling it but that didn't fix it. :(

Tab mix plus might be setting all the tab's width to the longest title in one row.

could be... but a restart of my PC seems to have fixed it for some reason... its back to working now correctly now.

next time, go to about:support and click on clear startup cache....

I clear the startup cache anytime I run CCleaner custom clean... I did that after I restarted the PC... that might have been the issue.

don't run ccleaner. Registry cleaning is not a thing and can remove registry entries that you need for the OS and applications to work.

I have never had an issue running CCleaner for the last 15 years..... I do custom scans which is for file removal of temp and other such files... I do select...

as for the registry cleaner I rarely use it.....

Tab width fills rows on overflow, available only when Tab width fits to tab title is disabled, tabs in multiple rows will be sized to fill all empty space in the row

CCleaner has not been needed since windows 98. Use disk clean up that is included with windows to remove temporary files: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/disk-cleanup-in-windows-8a96ff42-5751-39ad-23d6-434b4d5b9a68

Be careful not to select the downloads directory though.
