A43 not working with Bluez-IM

What version of BluezIME are you using? I tried 1.16, 1.14, & 1.13

What Android device do you have? What Android version? Archos 43 w/ Urukdroid 
1.6.1 firmware

What gamepad are you using? Phonejoy

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Turned on blueooth, paired phonejoy
2. In Bluez-IME settings, chose Phonejoy for both device & driver
3. Went to Settings - Language & Keyboard Settings - Clicked on Bluez-IME, and 
then went to Bluez-IME settings & selected Select IME.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

In Select IME, I should see Bluez-IME, but all I see is the Android keyboard. 
When I go back to Language & Keyboard, Bluez-IME is unchecked. I've tried this 
several time, and as soon as I leave the Language & Keyboard screen and then go 
back, Bluez-IME will no longer be checked.

(This works great with my HTC Evo 4g so it just might not be compatible with 
the Archos 43).

Can you enable any IME? 
Like Swype or something you install from Google Play?

Sorry, I should've checked that before. I can't enable Swype, so the issue is 
with my device. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond.
