Media Downloader: Audio and Video #8

Hey,

how about an option to download media as audio and video together? Currently I only have "Video" or "Audio only".

But in some cases I want to have a audio and a video file.

This would help me to speed up downloading.

Hi, so you want to get an audiofile and a videofile without audio? You can download videos, and put them into the converter page. Here are a few examples:

  1. Get only-video from the downloaded video, remove audio
    • Set preset to "Custom"
    • Set Videocodec to "copy"
    • Disable Audiocodec image
  2. Get an audiofile from the video
    • Just select the audio preset you want, e.g. MP3 or M4A image

When you often need to remove audio from videos, you can create a preset for that. The "copy" option for codecs only works, when no other changes are made to the conversion settings. Do not change bitrates, resolution etc. when you use the copy option. image

Hey,

no I want a video file including audio (mp4) and a audio only file (mp3)

In some cases I found e.g. cool music videos. So I want to archive the full video in best quality including audio. And for playing in the car I need the MP3 file.

So a third option would be great: Video File (Including Audio) & Audio File

Hi MajorTomDE,

you can open the Downloader more than one time, so you can use him in each window for different things.
