Terminal + tmux doesn't render things correctly (to the point of unusable)

I believe that these screenshot would explain themselves :

• Single pane mode:

(notice the actual cursor position)

• Multi panes mode:

• Ryan thought it would be a unicode rendering issue but when using the same prompt without tmux, it works fine
