Clipping #16

Hi, first of all thanks for creating tascam-gtk it is of great use. When I start to raise the master volume above -25db which corresponds to a value of 77 in alsamixer, I get clipping distortion. (for example when I play a wav file from my computer which has no clipping in it) Is this normal? I would expect under 0db there should be no clipping. Thanks in advance Best Tim
