[bug] Can't start typing text immediately with a new Text Element #739

As I drop a text box in, it shows the blinking cursor as if I can type, then when I type and hit enter, it doesn’t actually write what I wrote and is a blank text box. I have to double-click it again to actually write.

Let's keep this open to track that we want to be able to start editing the text right away
