Tried out PhoneGap - looks very promising (there's How-to page on HAML, SCSS, Coffeescript ;-) ) Also looked at Sencha Touch - could be very slick for a simple interface* Could also try http://jqtouch.com/ And also http://jquerymobile.com/
There's a page on Sencha + Phonegap here Sencha do a pretty interesting looking charts framework too. might be interesting for the analysis stage. [EDIT] !! Sencha Charts only available for $99, on top of a paid Sencha package = $299 total
