Date objects are being returned as odd strings. E.g. "/Date(1184284800000)/" . A more appropriate value would be something that JavaScript's Date() accepts:
1) An integer representing the number of milliseconds since 1970; or
2) A string in the ISO-8601 standard, which is "YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ss.sssZ".
