Curious if this is still being worked on and what the roadmap is. Wouldn't mind helping out with this if it's low priority.

@triola sorry have been really busy relocating, yes you can help out with this. If you could get all the images for the tokens, and put all their info into json format, mapping it to the json in mtgdb.info, I could easily import this into the database! That would help out a lot and would be a great contribution. Still super busy with the move. Let me know and I will assign you to the task and answer any questions you need help with.
