Theming to the About pages needs to be applied (i.e., slideshows for each page, new content)

Notes from 1/22/15 1) Remove the super title of “About Visualizations” 2) On the resources page, implement the bootstrap split button that says “Search Images” but has the dropdown included to allow the selection of all6 resource types.

Do you want your students to practice interpreting scientific data to draw appropriate conclusions? The Data Investigations available are ideal for introductory undergraduate classes to use as in-class assignments, but they can also be used as engagement or homework activities for upper-level classes. You can also create your own Investigations using the provided step-by-step Data Investigation Builder. The builder will guide you through the process of assembling evidence and questions into an effective inquiry-based investigation.

This section of the site includes a variety of OOI and community-provided resources, including images, animations, video clips, podcasts, and other documents, to help engage students in cutting-edge ocean science. Resources can be added to Concept Maps or Data Investigations built on this site. Use the search box below to find existing materials or “Add a New Resource” of your own. If you have a resource you think would benefit the community, including lesson plans, or activities, please consider sharing it.

• Note: There are actually several of these, with different slides in the carousel.
• We had worked on a revised “About” page, which this mockup includes.
• In addition, we had been working with Harman to develop a series of “slides” for each About page and the homepage. I believe we had finalized the DIB ones but I don’t have the final files.
• On 6/12/15 I sent Harman notes to create slides for the EV and Resources sections. I’m not sure if we got comments from Annette and Carla on the CM set.

Pending issues:

• The title for Data Investigations needs an s at the end (I'm assuming this has to be changed in code, since it seems that the actual title of the dummy page just says "Investigations")
• Update CM title to "Concept Mapping"
• The images and titles in the center of the about pages need to be links. The first 2 can just go the the appropriate Resource Browser page. The last to the appropriate create page.
• At the bottom where the featured resources are listed, change the titles to be "Featured Visualizations" and "Featured Concept Maps" There still seem to be a lot of thumbnail issues.
• We also need to get the "slides" from Harman for these pages.
• Nice job on the KB insets.

I remove the hard coded data investigation title, the page should get it's title from user input, so we just need to edit that title from UI

I am having hard time figuring out where the cm title coming from. still looking.

Looks good. Just need to figure out the CM title and get the slides from Harman.
