From the internal testing of the Censorship Incident Reporting Platform (which is being prepared for the public launch in November 2023), I have the following feedback:
[x] Display the publication_date for each post (to annotate the date when each post was published), which is separate to the blocking event dates (which may be entirely different) (blocked by:https://github.com/ooni/backend/issues/752)
[x] Display the number of published reports (perhaps at the top)
[x] Display the Short Description info in the preview of a published report link (so that when the link is shared on Slack for example, people can see what the report is about, instead of seeing general OONI Explorer info)
Other change requests reported on Slack:
[x] Validation should happen on blur instead of only when clicking submit
[x] Start time should default to midnight of today
[x] Drop the datetime inputs - use only date input and default the time to 00:00 before submitting
[x] Handle missing email before user tries to create the report
[x] Tag input should add the tag when you use comma (like enter does)
[x] Don't loose the entered value in tag input on blur
[x] Make close button in modal more prominent, add border-radius to the modal
[x] Add a back button to the Create Incident page to return to the dashboard
[x] The incidents dashboard page should have a button or link going to the incident listing - next to the add incident button and call it “view published incidents”
[x] Convert the “add incident” to a primary action button
[x] The failure to create an incident should include more information and be formatted as an error message
[x] Fix infinite spinner on incident dashboard page when being logged out. It should instead tell me that I need to login. ---> Here instead of asking users to login it redirects to /incidents which is a public page - it is confusing to tell non-admin users to log in, when they won't have the access to the dashboard even then.
[ ] Improve validation for MAT tag in "text" field to capture wrong formatting
[ ] Somewhere in the incident details page we should have a link pointing back to the incident list ---> This will be solved by having a menu item for Incidents - we don't have this kind of pattern on Network/Domain pages
