"Multiplier" is some “器”(-ier) to "Multiply" something, but there's no proper Chinese words for this scene, maybe “倍加器” but still weird. The only way to make sense is to migrate from "Multiplier" to the form of "multiply xxx with xxx", which is what previous translation ignored.
