Ours Criteria #73

What classification is true? Who decides it? These questions made me wonder has anyone formulated the criteria of classification that human (human vision) use for such dot-line structures? (maybe some psychophysics studies)

What do you mean by dot-line structures? And in general, the "true" classifications are defined by the training and testing sets, like in a machine learning setup.

Like what Joshua drew on the blackboard or the typical plot of graph we generated in the k-means assignment. We all have the ability to classify vertices from simple graphs by our observation. I am just curious what algorithm do we human, our nervous system, use? Here, it is almost impossible to know the training data set. The only ways to infer it is probably from psychophysics tests plus mathematical interpretation. Has anyone looked at this questions?
