@yochannah status update: investigating an interactive mapping program in Python

Pygal didn't seem to have finer granularity than 'worldmap' GeoDjango does look useful, but will require running a webapp on a server - TBC!

Whilst @yochannah looks at making an interactive map as a webapp, @raspicer is working out how to plot the long,lat data on a map in our static notebooks.

@RASpicer has managed to install basemap (a pain to install with Anaconda!)

@yochannah will cease webapp exploration as it will take too long for today #okfail - this frees her up to help others
