No way to unselect design phase filter #211

Closed pamela-drouin closed 7 years ago

I was interacting with the design phase filters on the home page, and there is no way to go from a filtered view to all the design methods again, unless I selected the logo to return to the home URL. I thought selecting the already selected filter might turn it off, but it didn't do anything. It's a little confusing!

I had the same experience this afternoon!

Yep, I've been doing usability testing and it's the same for everyone. Definitely have to address this in the current milestone!

Just a bit of an fyi here on the way this is built. The pages where you look at the filter view are stand alone pages showing only the things in that filter. The easiest fix for this is to add a link to those pages that is something like "view all methods" or "back to all methods" and it would take you back to the home page.

Sounds like a good fix to me!

How does this look for a quick fix?

This only appears on the sub phase pages, so if you click define, then this button will appear at the end of the filters list.

Another option is to just have a link somewhere on the page.

What do you think @iamjessklein or @pamela-drouin?

iamjessklein commented 7 years ago

+1 for the quick fix. I think that in a future version we are going to have the methods on a page of their own.

OK, I'll push up a branch for merge.
