Clean up the "teaser" language for existing methods #282

Let's try to clean the teasers up a bit to be more crisp and friendly, now that we are introducing a refreshed design for the method cards:

Method Teaser
affinity diagram Synthesize information with this sorting exercise.
design brief Describe what success looks like for your project.
design values Workshop a set of values to help you frame future conversations around product success.
experience attributes Generate descriptive words to inform the mood boards and visual direction of the project.
feedback session Explore some ways to collect constructive feedback for designs and prototypes.
human spectrogram Get people to open up about where they stand on design decisions.
hypothesis A framework for identifying how you are addressing design opportunities.
interface inventory Break designs into components, creating a catalogue for use in code.
interviews Talk to users to find out what their needs are so you can build a product they'll love.
journey maps Define the happy path for your personas
mood boards Collect images based on adjectives associated with a project's brand to serve as inspiration for visual studies.
personas Identify user types based on habits and goals of real people, acquired through interviews and conversations.
sitemap Define the scope and flow of your project.
style guide Document the components that make up the website or application to ensure consistency of design and code.
style tiles Ensure consistency of fonts, colors and interface elements to communicate the essence of a visual brand for the web.
usability test Observe people using a product or feature.
visual design workshop Collaborate with key stakeholders to define an approach to visual design.

Do we have a target character length for the teasers? I'd like to help out with this.

iamjessklein commented 6 years ago

Awesome @mjchamplin ! I haven't thought too deeply about this, but my gut says something on the smaller size (under 140 characters). Would you like to take a stab at the list above by copying, pasting and editing, then share for feedback?

mjchamplin commented 6 years ago

Sure thing @iamjessklein.

dmichl commented 6 years ago

hey @mjchamplin would you be able to close this out in the next coming weeks?

mjchamplin commented 6 years ago

@dmichl Definitely. I'll spend some time on it ASAP.

mjchamplin commented 6 years ago

Here's my take at writing more consistent and "active" blurbs for each of the methods. I tried to keep them all under 140 characters and keep them similar in length, but there are a few shorter ones.
