Hi, would it help if I upload the Solidworks cad files? Or is there another file format that would make it easier?
That would be helpful, I think i can come a far way with the .STL, but i think others would appreciate the CAD files if they want to modify the project. I am trying to figure out how to start with body_structure_biped_top.STL
Solidworks requires a license, and that might be a problem for future users/contributors. It should be possible to import the SolidWorks CAD files to Fusion 360 that is "free", but sadly Fusion 360 does not run well on Linux.
I have linked the Biped Solidworks files and your FreeCAD files here: https://github.com/open-dynamic-robot-initiative/open_robot_actuator_hardware/blob/master/mechanics/biped_6dof_v1/README.md#cad-files
I noticed that you only share STL files, I want to do some modifications so i am in the process of reverse engineering the parts into FreeCAD project files. I do not know if you want this kind of contributions, but here it is just in case it of value for anyone else.
