The extension is making pdf pages stop loading and a blank page to appear.

Indeed. New version (0.0.21) of the extension shall be rolling out to users today. Why it happens remains currently unknown (maybe related to CVE-2016-1652). We'll probably remove the per-page script later this year and shift the code to hwcrypto.js. Polluting all pages with extra code is generally not a good and polite approach.

Just for the record: the issue does not appear if by default scripts are turned off in Chrome.
