It took me a little to start to understand what this all is. It's ARM trying to encourage folks to make Arduino like things with their chips instead of the Atmel ATmega8? mbed OS is like the Arduino IDE?

I don't know a lot. I was talking with a friend who needs cheap data loggers with mobile connectivity and is looking at these. I mostly just wanted a note to remind us that porting this work to cheaper, lower power devices would be good at some point.
