This is Mack writing about some issue I just recently have been having my neuropixel probe and open ephys software. I noticed that the headstage has been blinking red which may indicate the probe is damaged however, I still pick up signals for some of the channels and they don't appear to be LFP in nature but rather noisy. I have used this probe for multiple implants across days for about 2 mice now and have cleaned it properly so am unsure what could be causing the signal acquisition to be wonky. I ran a Probe Test on open ephys and it said it failed. Could it be that my probe is just damaged? My images of the signal chain and LFP data wouldn't let me format it. If you respond to my email - > mackatar22@gmail.com I can send you those pictures.
The red blinking light indicates a problem with the probe.
Knowing which tests are failing will help narrow down the issue.
You can send any images to pavel@open-ephys.org.
