Have added this - it now provides no matches outside Leeds, as all grants are either explicitly tied to a ward or are associated with a postcode in the ward. I have consequently removed the hexmap of the WYCA area.
There is 1 that is not possible to map - I suspect an incorrect postcode.
@ODILMichelle Take a look at https://data.leeds2023.co.uk/metrics/community-grants/ for update.
Thanks for this @gilesdring. Interesting outcomes. L23 did say that applications were open to individuals & organisatons from outside Leeds, but if this is what the data is telling us at present then removing the hexmap makes sense
btw, happy to consider this, complete given we're still waiting for words from L23 & any feedback will come from them there (#131).

Currently the data processing for community grant assumes that the postcode provided relates to the ward. On investigating the data, it appears that for some (all?) of the
myLeedsGrant
data, this is not related. There is, for example, one postcode which has entered one application for each ward in Leeds.I propose that we fix the processing so that if provided, the transform script uses the name of the grant ward and matched that to a ward (should be a simple lookup). If this is not provided (per most
myLeedsGrantAppAudiovisual
and allmyLeedsSchoolsGrantsApplication
, revert to using the postcode and looking up.
