Vision Statement
To reduce the incidence of sleep-related mental illnesses, by enlightening the public, through skillful, concise and accurate research.
This sounds like a wonderful project, can't wait to see the outcome!
I think a very large part of the population needs this. I know I do!
Very relevant project, kudos! After reading the vision statement, I am not sure I fully understand the "[make, build, teach, or do something] " part (using terminology from here ). Are you going to conduct a new research? or synthetise existing research? Or make an information campaign? I ask out of curiosity, because I think this is a very relevant and timely project!
Quite a timely project, especially in the era of overemphasis on economic growth without consideration for what sleep deprivation does to our health. Just do well to outline how the goals of designing, building, and empowering the team, contributors, and other community members will rub off on the project toward success

So do we, the project is primarily predicated on our own experience with sleep deprivation

Thanks! We're super excited too. 🚀

Thank you so much for that. We will definitely keep that in mind ❤️

@AngelicaMaineri Thank you so much for drawing our attention to this resource. Your curiosity was instrumental. 😅 I hope the long version of our vision statement helps answer some of your questions. We're open to answering more questions you might have!
We are working with scientists and researchers to teach and create awareness about the effect of sleep deprivation on mental health, so as to reduce the incidence of sleep-related mental disturbances.
We aim to provide adequate information to some significantly sleep-deprived target groups—nigerian university students—and eventually spread this mission internationally.
The goal is to piggyback on already-existing research works, and additionally carry out surveys involving the aforementioned target groups. The data collated will hopefully help encourage better sleep patterns, prevent unnoticed mental disturbances (irritability, impaired judgment) and more significant ones (hallucination, dementia).
