Welcome to OLS-7! This issue will be used to track your project and progress during the program. Please use this checklist over the next few weeks as you start Open Life Science program :tada:.

• [ ] Suggest a cohort name at the bottom of the shared notes and vote on your favourite with a +1

Week 5 and later

• [ ] Create a GitHub repository for your project
• [ ] Add the link to your repository in your issue
• [ ] Use your canvas to start writing a README.md file, or landing page, for your project
• [ ] Link to your README in a comment on this issue
• [ ] Add an open license to your repository as a file called LICENSE.md
• [ ] Add a Code of Conduct to your repository as a file called CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md
• [ ] Invite new contributors to your work!

Hello @aolivera-labi ,

Congratulations for the initiative. In spite of not being an expert in the field, I am aware of the huge potential of image processing and analysis as a tool for biomedical research and medical diagnosis.

May I ask respect to the computing infrastructure that is involved in the project? Specifically, does the execution of the initiative relies in the access to supercomputing resources?

Actualmente como red, estamos dando los pasos a través de este proyecto. Estas capacidades son principalmente para entrenamiento en la región y acceso a analisis de imagenes con cierto grado de complejidad. Sin duda, para maximizar el impacto de las tecnologias que se están desarrollando, y aumentar la capacidad de otras existentes la capacidad de supercomputo junto con AI van a acelerar el proceso exponencialmente.

Es algo en lo que ya tenemos que trabajar y estamos abiertos a colaborar para eso!
