Introducing landuse data into open-data #8

Now, open-data already includes static terrain data like COP90. Is it possible to introduce more useful static data, such as land use data ( for example, MODIS Land Cover Type or GlobeLand30) ?

Sure, which specific variables from those land and soil datasets would be of interest? Can you provide some links/documentation to get data access?

Different land use datasets contain different types of variables. Most of them include several broad categories such as grassland, forest, urban, water bodies, and ice et al.
