This month was full with updates. Yet the biggest progress is the release of the official UltraStar Format specification for developers after 3 month of discussion. Here is the summary. Have a good new year!
Releases
- Tools: Yass rld v2023.12, USDB Plus v1.2.0
- Games: Melody Mania v1.2.0, Performous v1.3.1-rc, new Vocaluxe nightly build, USDX v2023.12.0
Future and perspective
Official UltraStar Format v1.1.0 was released for developers on 1th Dec 2023. Implementation is in 2024 for nearly all games and tools. Versions 0.1.0, 0.2.0, 0.3.0, 1.0.0 were defined in retrospective too.
Open Music Games
- Full shared FAQ with over 40 questions was released.
- Open music games organization has now a job board.
Staff Changes
- Melody Mania owner Andreas has a new job and continues developement in spare time.
